The sweat lodge experience was incredible…from the prayer ties, to the ceremony. I loved the sessions with Luisah Teish and Dana Patterson… both helped me dig deeper. I also loved the Talking Circle & Potlatch ceremony.

Book Project about African American Women
Dr. Weedn is writing a book that chronicles the lives of 30 accomplished African American women. This book, due to be published in 2009, is sure to be inspiring for all women, as Dr. Joycelyn Elders, Lt. Col. Yvonne Cagle, MD, Dr. Ysaye Barnwell, Karolyn Ali, Jasmine Guy, and Gloria Blouknight, to name just a few, honor us with the stories of their lives and the character strengths they used to transform themselves.
