Wow! What an incredible experience The World of Wisdom was. I feel so fortunate to have the spirituality that you have shared as a big part of my life. You have inspired me to grow in this area.

Bill Sockolov, Novato, CA

The sweat lodge experience was incredible…from the prayer ties, to the ceremony. I loved the sessions with Luisah Teish and Dana Patterson… both helped me dig deeper. I also loved the Talking Circle & Potlatch ceremony.
It was amazing!

Lesley Raynsley, California

As always, I find your workshops enriching—both to mind and spirit.
I found this last one to be exactly what I needed.

I found Sensing the Sacred to be a tremendous experience which I know will contribute to my overall spiritual, personal and emotional growth. Lench is a wise and impressive teacher: I found myself hanging on to his every word and sensed that he seemed to say exactly what I needed to hear… I experienced myself in a very reflective space and decided to reorganize my meditation room and altar, making it even more sacred to me.

Jack Bors, MD, San Francisco, CA

PLEASE JOIN US!
Join this incredible staff in a day of spiritual discovery and understanding. The key to a balanced
life with purpose starts with our spiritual foundation.
Given today’s challenges, it is easy to become confused or distanced from our connection to and belief in our Higher Power. Awareness and daily practice are essential in maintaining this connection during our busy lives. Accessing our intuition, connecting to our ancestors and guides through prayer, song and ritual, and creatively expressing ourselves, helps to deepen this connection. This will
manifest positively in our daily lives and help us overcome challenges.
This is the key to building resilience and gratitude during these stressful times.
Our facilitators will guide us through accessing our own intuition, learn Native American spiritual principles, and enhance our creativity through experiential learning.

You will:
1. Learn cross cultural traditions to enhance your recovery process.

2. Discover, experience, and sharpen your own intuition

3. Participate in healing ceremonies including: Talking Circle, White Bison 12 Step teachings, Potlatch and meditation

4. Exercise your creativity through Mandala work

Special Projects

Book Project about African American Women

Dr. Weedn says, "In the last several years I began to think about what forces help to create leadership and resilience in women. I began thinking about the confluence of the Civil Rights Movement and the Women's Movement, and how these two forces allowed African American women to emerge in greater numbers as leaders in ways not possible in past generations. This lead me to wonder about what it was in successful African American women that helped them persevere through hardship and obstacles to come forward to claim their destiny.

"These musings were the impetus for my book entitled, Many Blessings, which contains interviews with thirty-one accomplished African American women and chronicles the stories of their lives and their advice to other women of all ethnicities.

"As you might imagine, it has been an amazing journey of discovery and delight! The interviews are divided into seven categories of character strength that I believe embody the essence of the unique legacy of African American women. Four or five interviews illustrate these strengths.

"I hope you enjoy seeing pictures of some of the women interviewed over the past three years."

Watch for this book in late 2009 or early 2010!
